Mary MacPherson is an executive with a background in corporate and nonprofit organizations. During her business career, Ms. MacPherson worked in senior management roles at Apple Computer, MCI Telecommunications Corp. and Blackboard, Inc. as well as several smaller startups in the Washington area. In 2004 she formed M2Works LLC, an independent consultancy. Her practice includes engagements in the areas of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial networks, nonprofit capacity building, sustainability, governance and community building.

Peter first worked for O2 as Public Affairs Director in between 2011-2014. He then continued cooperating with the company as a consultant for regulatory affairs and was responsible for institutional relationships with business, state and regulatory authorities. He was also actively involved in the startup environment, supporting innovative projects and activities as Business Development Director at Neulogy. Peter studied linguistics and political studies at the Comenius University in Bratislava and political studies at London School of Economics and Political Science.

Marek has extensive experience in financial modeling and strategy consulting. As a Venture Architect at Erste group, he identifies and analyzes opportunities in the Fintech and Insurtech space. Previously, Marek worked as a Mergers & Acquisitions Associate at KPMG, advising C-level executives and investors on the investment processes. He advised over 20+ startups as a consultant at Startup Studio, mentor at ImpactHUB incubator and competitions such as Startup Weekend, Soutez a Podnikej and iKid.

Lukáš graduated from the Department of Psychology at the Comenius University in Bratislava and from Management at UBC Sydney in Australia. Later he completed his PhD. degree in Management. Since 2009 he is a Managing Director of Maxman Consultants, a company based on non-hierarchical principles of teal self-managing organizations where people discuss and decide together, even their salaries. In his free time he supports various nonprofit projects focused on improving education and third sector in Slovakia.

Dora joined the Day One team in February 2018 and she brings more than five years of venture capital and private equity experience to the table. Having worked with growth stage funds she prepared valuations, structured deals, negotiated and executed transactions. Throughout her years of portfolio management activities, she got involved in a variety of industry sectors such as life sciences, software/SaaS and fashion. She assisted several portfolio companies in organizing subsequent fundraising rounds, working with investors from the CEE region and the USA. Dora holds a BA in Finance and an MA in Management from Corvinus University of Budapest.

Having gained experience in the financial audit department at PwC, Ales initially joined Credo Ventures in 2013 for an internship. Afterwards, he spent a year working as an industry analyst at Google Czech Republic. In 2015, Ales returned to Credo as an analyst on a full-time basis and from 2017 works at Credo as an associate. Ales graduated from Charles University in Prague where he studied international relations.

Peter Kolesár is the CEO of Neulogy. Before joining Neulogy, he worked as a diplomat in the Slovak foreign service – he served as the Trade and Innovation Counselor at the Embassy of Slovakia in Washington, D.C. focusing on supporting Slovak startups in the US and promoting innovation collaboration between Slovakia and the United States. He also served as a Commercial Counselor at the Slovak Embassy in Tel Aviv. Prior to foreign service he worked as a Senior Consultant at Candole Partners, a CEE public policy and regulatory consulting firm.

Michal works on projects supporting the startup and innovation ecosystem and the organization of Startup Awards. Prior to Neulogy, Michal worked as innovation policy analyst at the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economy and at the Slovak Embassy in Washington DC on supporting the internationalization of Slovak start-ups in the US. He has also worked at the business training and consulting company FBE where he researched and developed new business training programmes on process improvement and project management methodologies.
